Officials Searching For Texas Sex Offender

According to LBTX News in Bryan/College Station, the Texas Department of Public Safety is searching for a sex offender who goes by the names “Bitty Boy” and “Chief.”  Officials believe he may be in the Lawton, Oklahoma area and his real name is Gwen Komahcheet, and is one of the top 10 Most Wanted Fugitives in Texas. Komahcheet, who is Native American, is known to frequent casinos and carry weapons.  He has been on the run since his release from prison in 2004, in which he served 24 years of a 75 year sentence for aggravated rape with a firearm.  A $7,500 reward has been offered for information leading to his arrest. Texas Sex Offender Arrested In Chicago For Threatening Attorney General

According to The Chicago Tribune, a Texas sex offender has been charged with making threats against Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan.  The threat was made in a legal brief that Maurice Pennington Sr. filed concerning the legality of him have to register as a sex offender. Moore was convicted of child sexual assault charges in Texas under the alias Demetreous P. Moore, said Natalie Bauer, a spokeswoman from the Attorney General’s office.  Officials have not said what exactly the threat said in the legal brief, but according to Bauer, was violent in nature.  He was arrested at his Chicago apartment and charged with threatening a public official. Alabama Sex Offender Apprehended In Texas

A registered sex offender was arrested in Austin, Texas, after failing to appear for a court date in Elmore County, Alabama, according to the U.S. Marshall Service.  Andre Cardale Underwood, 40, of Birmingham was identified as the suspect who was charged with child sexual assault with a victim under the age of 12 years. Underwood was indicted in Alabama in January of 2010, and his plea date was set for May 2011, which he did not show up for.  Authorities acted upon a tip that he was making an overnight drive to Austin and apprehended him at an apartment complex.  Underwood is awaiting extradition back to Alabama.
